Lockscreens for any ROM on Samsung Galaxy Y

This app contains 11 different lockscreens for your Galaxy Y. So you do not need to flash a custom ROM, modify any system files and thing such as that.

There is one small problem though. When you choose a custom lockscreen on this app and lock your phone, you may notice that first you go through your default system lockscreen and then you see the custom lockscreen.
Now this problem can be solved very easy, stock users can download and install the free app called No Lock from the Google Play store.

How to use your android phone as a webcam

Getting started:

Install a copy of IP Webcam on your Android device. Next, you'll need to install a copy of its software, IP Camera Adapter, on Windows. You will also need to have either Chrome or Firefox on your computer, as this application does not work well with Internet Explorer.
Once both IP Camera applications are installed, follow the steps below:
(Credit: Screenshot by Nicole Cozma/CNET)
Step 1: Open the IP Webcam app on your Android device and make the necessary adjustments for resolution, quality, orientation, and FPS limit. After you're finished, scroll to the bottom and tap on Start Server.

Tip: It is recommended that you set a username and password. This is not only for security reasons (as you'll likely want to keep your Webcam private), but also because the adapter will occasionally not work without setting up log-in credentials.
Step 2: Head to the IP address that appears at the bottom of the screen on your Android device in Chrome or Firefox. Make sure you include the port shown on the screen as well.
Step 3: Choose the option that best suits your needs; I recommend "Use browser built-in viewer."
You should see your video load in the Web browser. If not, go back and try another one of the link options.
Step 4: Open the IP Camera Adapter application you installed on Windows. Then, fill in the required information, such as IP, port (and don't forget the /videofeed on that address), username, and password.
Step 5: Click Autodetect next to the resolution settings, and then Apply. Now you'll need to restart any application you want to use the Webcam with, like Skype.
As a side note, you'll probably want to use a headset, as the audio options seem a bit wonky. Other than that, you'll be able to select the Android device as your Webcam option in your social app of choice.

Seeder V1.4.0 APK

The issue Seeder addresses is that Android draws from a predefined entropy pool—or set of random data—for almost all of its operations. When that limited pool of random data dries up, it has to rebuild itself, which results in delays while apps and services wait for the data they need.
Seeder takes the process that generates this data and runs it every second (it's extremely light on resources—this usually happens behind the scenes anyway, so you don't notice it), then feeds that information to a new random data pool that's constantly kept refreshed. Then, the app uses that fresh data to "top off" the system pool so it never runs out. That means you never have to wait for the generation service to start up and fill the pool with random data. The result? Almost everything about your Android phone is several times faster.
We're simplifying the issue here, so if you're interested in the guts of how this works, dig into the XDA and Reddit threads linked below. We tested Seeder on a few Android devices, and found notable performance improvements on both newer and older Android phones (my OG Droid specifically was much faster while Seeder was running.) As with all apps of this type, your mileage may vary, but we saw good results, as have many posters at XDA and Reddit.

Subway Surfers for Galaxy Y

What kind of changes and improvements have been made, got no information about that. Basically Drago9oiD claims he resized the splash screen for ldpi screens (our Galaxy Y's), etc, and msnnsm doesn't give any information on what has been changed aswell, for now it remains a mystery.

You can try it out without the need of CF3D or anything else. Tested on a pure stock ROM and kernel without any additional tweaks or performance improving software, it just runs smoothly.

You may try to use the Seeder app, overclocking, CF3D or performance governors in a custom kernel. Hopefully the performance will be even slightly better than it is now. Huge thanks to whoever optimized it this big, enjoy.

Hyperion 8 Project 2013 for Galaxy Y

JellyBean experience at its best
Everything you love about Hyperion and JellyBean — the gorgeous UI , fast and fluid performance, battery life — is everything you’ll love about the new Hyperion, too. And you can have the best of both it in one ROM.

A rom worthy of all Galaxy Y
Fast performance, superb stability, mouth watering UI, useful features — It's something for everyone. And Everything!

Incredible performance
Known for its fast, fluid performance, Hyperion doesn’t disappoint. It features 23 powerful and power-efficient CPU governors and 4 I/O Scheduler, which makes everything you do feel smooth and natural.
Hyperion wouldn’t be Hyperion without incredible battery life. Even with so much performance packed into such a small space, it still lasts up to 2 days on a single charge*. So you can read, watch, play, write, and create whatever you want, as long as you want. *battery life based on moderate usage with all radios turned on at default policy settings.

Hyperion 8 highlights:
Total ear-gasm: ALSA (AlsaProject) + Beats Audio Engine v2
We combined and tuned up two sound engines for superb sound quality when listening to music. This time, sound enhancements are activated at startup without the use of DSP Manager. What does that mean? No more force close when you connect/disconnect mass storage mode on PC.

Mouth watering pixel goodness
Like JellyBean looks but sluggish like old granny? Worry no more! Hyperion 8 combines JellyBean UI and transparency into a piece of art. We don't simply take frameworks, systemUI and put it in a blender. We make sure we put "what belongs together".

Project butter Hyperion style
We combined all the best tweaks out there for a superb super smooth UI. Others would say "No! That's not real! Project butter is JB only", yes that is correct if you can't read between the lines.

More juice more fun!
We hate running out of juice as much as you do, so we made sure you can get the most of your battery. We put 23 CPU governors and 5 IO schedulers to tame that nasty CPU! And with deep sleep? Your phone will get more sleep than you do! -well at least for me this is a true statement.

Features:
Basic - all custom roms must have:
  1. De-Odexed
  2. Zipaligned
  3. Recompressed APKS
  4. Optimized APK Images
  5. Rooted
  6. BusyBox and BusyBox run-parts support
  7. Apps2SDenabled
Common - though not working in other roms:

  2. 6 Lockscreens from Gingerbread AOSP/CM with custom app starter and gesture unlock
  3. Status bar Tweaks + TEAM battery bar
  4. 4-way Reboot Options
  5. Expanded Power Menu (because themers and mods crash systemUI most of the time, we need other ways of rebooting)
Unique - not all custom roms have:
  1. No SMS Bug
  2. No false Android version
  3. No useless features
  4. Least branding (Like creed parts or cod parts or whatever. We don't like that. It's your phone, not ours)
Advanced:
  1. EXT4 File System Support
  2. CIFS
  3. Swap Support
  4. BaCeM Tweak
  5. UnderVolt Support
  6. Firewall Support (DroidWall Open-Source Project)

  2. Transparent JellyBean user interface
  3. Ear-gasmic sound quality
  4. Integrated Autostart manager, Firewall and Network Unlocker
  5. Modular system structure
  6. System Replacer
Experimental:
  1. Force GPU Rendering - Force use of GPU for 2D rendering
  2. Disable HW overlays - Always use GPU for screen compositing
  3. Allow purging of assets - Purging of bitmap memory assets allows freeing of more RAM when needed (you can now get as low as 85-90mb used RAM)
  4. 32bit transparency - Better graphics performance and full transparency support
