Well,This s common problem,i've been thinking if its possible with the back-camera,Skype had a hacked version(video enabled), but it force closes after sometime,but there are some other programs that you can vedio chat with samsung galaxy using back-camera,Tango is one them , so far tango is only the lag free app that can work on samsung galaxy y, I'm currently working on skype trying to mod it,so keep in touch with this blog,i will update it soon,

In this guide, I’ll list several ways for you to save the battery life of your Samsung Galaxy Y. When I first purchased mine, I can only use it for a day. The battery really drains fast. However, I found out ways on how to save its battery.

1. Upgrade to the latest firmware.
Download Samsung Kies and use it to upgrade your phone’s firmware. The latest firmware will surely fix the current bugs that your phone has.

2. Turn off WIFI when not in use.
Settings - Wireless and Networks - Wi-Fi Settings - Turn Off by unchecking Wi-Fi Option.

3. Turn off Background data - Whenever you visit Android Market and download applications, you should turn this on first.
Settings - Accounts and Sync - Uncheck Background Data

4. Clear RAM most of the time.
Task Manager - RAM tab - Tap Clear Memory and any open applications will be closed.

5. Lower brightness of your phone display
Settings - Display - Brightness - Adjust by sliding the cursor going to the left.

6. Turn off Bluetooth when not in use
Settings - Wireless and Networks - Bluetooth settings - Turn off by unchecking the Bluetooth option.

7. Turn off data network when not in use
Settings - Wireless and Networks - Mobile networks - Uncheck Use packet data

There are times wherein some applications are automatically connecting to the internet (data network) even if you have already disable the data network. To permanently stop this, delete the access point name configured on your phone for internet browsing. This way the phone won’t connect to the data network. It is much better to use WIFI instead.
Settings - Wireless and Networks - Mobile networks - Access Point Names

8. Turn off GPS
Settings - Location and Security - Uncheck Use wireless networks and Use GPS satellites

9. Avoid using animated wallpapers.

10. Turn off Audible Touch Tones and Selections
Settings - Uncheck all selections under Feedback (Audible Touch Tones, Audible Selections, Screen Lock Sounds)
